Today, the arena of art has expanded; it focuses not only the aesthethic value but also the technical medium. Art is not only the pure expression of artists' feelings or creativity, but also the integration of the whole effects into one work. For example, when we watch opera, audiences are experiencing the piece overall including the light, stagecraft, costuames, etc well as music itself. Thanks to this change in art, now we as audiences or visitors can have diverse and more well-rounded experiences. However, does it mean more responsibility for the artists? Can it in a way pressure the artists to focus on everything for the sake of audiences' experience while they really should focus on creating the great art? Can this focus on practical technology degrade the quality of the pure art?
I believe that the technical practice is very laudable and we should appreciate it, but at the same time there should be some type of division of labor so that different people who specialize in different types of art can work together but seperately to reinforce each other's strength.
