Library of Congress

Ritual : Thomas Jefferson offered his personal library as a replacement and he intended to collect any book that is related to America, whatever rare and valuable in any science; it turned out to be the finest library in the United States.
Ideology : The old proverbs regarding knowledge, wisdom, etc. cover the wall. The virtues in human life are engraved as well, such as fortitude or justice.
Security : I was quite surprised to figure out that the library checks visitors' belongings and go through pretty fastidious security process. This library ensures the security for both the library and the visitors.
Authority: The Library of Congress is the oldest federal cultural institution in the nation. It is also the biggest library in the world. Anything the oldest or the biggest has superioty or the authority over others. In addition, the library was established to contain books that are necessary for the use of Congress.
